Each year guild members select worthy organizations to receive our community quilts.
Over the years we have donated hats, scarves, and doll quilts to Snohomish County’s Christmas House,
victims of the Oso landslide, Everett Fire Department, and Habitat for Humanity.
For the 2020 and 2021 years we have selected the following organizations:
The Everett Fire Department -
Quilts are distributed to victims of fires, accidents, and children involved in emergency calls.
Everett’s Transitional Housing -
Clare's Place administered by Catholic Housing Services - We are committed to donating 65 twin bed quilts to assist with efforts to establish an alternative for Everett’s unsheltered. The apartment building is expected to open in June of 2019.
UPDATE - WE HAVE REACHED OUR GOAL!
Everett Quilt Guild is ready to deliver the 65 twin bed quilts (plus a few extra as backup inventory) to Clare's Place in time for their Grand Opening in June.
Habitat for Humanity -
We will provide a queen size quilt for the adults and twin or/and crib size quilts for each child when they are given the keys to their new home.
Snohomish County’s Christmas House -
The guild has provided fleece hats, scarves, cell phone wallets, pillowcases, dolls, doll cloths, doll quilts, and bed quilts to Christmas House for distribution to children in Snohomish County.
